Yaroslava took first place with a result of 1.99 m
Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslav Maguchikh became the winner of the stage Diamond League 2024 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Maguchikh took first place with a result of 1.99 m. Yaroslava tried to clear the bar at a height of 2.03 m, but all three attempts were unsuccessful.
The second and third places were taken by representatives of Australia – Eleanor Patterson and Nicola Olislagers respectively. Another Ukrainian Irina Gerashchenko shared fifth place with Safina Sadullaeva from Uzbekistan.
This was the first start of the Ukrainian women after the 2024 Olympic Games. In Paris, Mahuchikh won gold with a result of 2.00 m, Olislagers won silver, and Gerashchenko and Patterson became bronze medalists.
In 2024, Yaroslava has already won three stages of the Diamond League. In June, the Ukrainian triumphed in Stockholm, and in July – in Paris. In the capital of France, Mahuchikh broke the world record in high jump, which had stood since 1987 – the Ukrainian cleared 2.10 m.
