Dorival Junior has called up two absolute newcomers – attackers Estevao and Luis Enrique
Brazil National Team has released a list of 23 players who will be preparing for the qualifying matches of the2026 World Cup against Ecuador And Paraguay.
The squad has made minor changes compared to the list of players called up in May ahead of Copa America 2026. The goalkeeper and defensive line remain unchanged. In midfield, Andreas Pereira and Douglas Luis are missing, but Fluminense’s Andre and Flamengo’s Gerson are available.
Finally, the attack line still lacks the most stellar Brazilian of our time, Neymar, who, although he recently returned to training, is still recovering from a serious injury he sustained last fall in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay. But there are two newcomers: 17-year-old Estevao Willian from Palmeiras and Luis Henrique from Botafogo.
Apart from Neymar, some other big names are also missing – Manchester United’s Casemiro, Barcelona’s Rafinha, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, Tottenham’s Richarlison.

Brazil failed the first part of the World Cup qualifiers – only seven points in six matches, sixth place out of ten – on the very verge of qualifying. Dorival’s team will play Ecuador in Curitiba on the night of September 7 (Kyiv time). Three days later, the Brazilians will play Paraguay away.
