Athletistic/ Others. Ukrainian athlete Olga Saladukha, 2012 Olympics bronze medalist in the triple jump, spoke about the need to ban Russian athletes from participating in international tournaments in any sport.
“Already 80 Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations have suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes. If they are Russian, we demand that neither the jury, nor the judges, nor the coaches, nor the governing bodies, nor the athletes – it does not shouldn’t be any Russian athletes anywhere. At least right now they should be removed,” Sport24 quotes Saladukhi in reference to Direct FM.
The athlete also added that Ukrainian athletes and the country’s sports governing bodies continue to ensure that Russians and Belarusians are excluded from as many sports tournaments as possible. Many Ukrainian athletes are ready to boycott competitions if representatives of Russia and Belarus take part in them.
