Ukraine won her first medal 2024 World Canoe Sprint Championshipswhich takes place in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).
Today, the final of the world championship among men’s canoe-twos at a distance of 1000 meters took place, and the Ukrainian duet Yuriy Vondyuk – Pavel Borsuk managed to take third place with a result of 3:42.433. At the same time, Yuriy and Pavel fell just a little behind the silver medalists from Hungary.
Alexander Syromyatnikov and Vladislav Voloshin took ninth place in the same distance in double kayaks. Anna Pavlova showed a similar result in a single kayak.
Tomorrow, August 25, 11 races with the participation of Ukrainian athletes will take place at the World Championships in Samarkand. Let us remind you that the 2024 Olympic silver medalists Lyudmyla Luzan and Anastasia Rybachok will take part in the continental championship.
