The 2024 Paralympic Flame was lit in Stoke Mandeville, England

The honour of lighting the flame was entrusted to British Paralympians Helen Rainsford and Gregor Yuen

Four days before the start Paralympic Games 2024 the lighting ceremony took place Paralympic flame.

It took place in the English community of Stoke Mandeville, the place where the Paralympic movement was born 76 years ago. The honour of lighting the flame was entrusted to British Paralympic athletes Helen Rainsford and Gregor Ewen.

The Paralympic flame was created in the presence of 250 guests, headed by the President of the International Paralympic Committee Andrew Parsons.

The 2024 Paralympics will be held in Paris from August 28 to September 8. The Ukrainian team will be represented at the Games by 140 athletes. Ukrainians will compete in 17 of the 22 Paralympic sports – this is a record in the history of our country.
