Ukrainian Lyudmila Luzan won the gold medal at the 2024 World Championships in kayaking and canoeing, held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The Ukrainian athlete showed the best result in the final of the 500-meter single canoe competition.

For Luzan, this is the fourth world champion title. Previously, the Ukrainian took gold at the world championships in Copenhagen (500 meters, double canoe, 2021) and Halifax (500 meters and 1000 meters, single canoe, 2022).
