Moscow “Dynamo” defeated St. Petersburg “Zenith” in the last match of the first round of the group stage of the Volleyball Legends Cup.
The match took place in Krasnoyarsk. Dynamo won with a score of 3:1 (18:25, 25:19, 25:14, 25:23).
Zenit and Dynamo are playing in Group B. In the next match, Zenit will play with Belogorye Belgorod and Dynamo will play with Yenisey Krasnoyarsk. The meetings will take place on August 30 in Moscow.
In Group A there are Kazan “Zenit”, Novosibirsk “Lokomotiv”, Kemerovo “Kuzbass” and Novy Urengoy “Fakel Yamal”. They will play the first round matches in Kazan, the second round matches will be held in Novosibirsk.
The teams finishing top two in their group will play in the Final Four. The prize fund of the Legends Cup is 10 million rubles; the tournament is part of the Russian Cup and will end in October.
