Chilean representative Maria Maillard won gold
Ukrainian sportswoman Victoria Tereta won bronze at World Championship 2024 By canoeing and kayakingwhich is currently taking place in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).
Tereta finished third in the women’s 5000m canoe single with a time of 31:53.552.
Chile’s Maria Maillard won gold, covering the distance in 31:15.084. Silver went to Annika Leske from Germany (time 31:37.596).
Earlier at the 2024 World Championships in Samarkand, Yuriy Vondyuk and Pavel Borsuk won bronze in the men’s canoe doubles at a distance of 1000 meters, and Lyudmyla Luzan won gold in the canoe singles at a distance of 500 meters. Another gold for Ukraine was brought by Lyudmyla Kuklinovskaya, who became the first in the canoe singles at 200 meters.
