Athletistic/Athletics. Poland hosted men’s pole vault competitions as part of the Diamond League stage in Silesia. The winner was Swedish athlete Armand Duplantis, setting a new world record with a result of 6 meters 26 centimeters.
Duplantis broke his own record, which he set almost a month ago at the Paris Olympics, by clearing a height of 6.25 meters. At 24, he has already become a double Olympic champion (2020, 2024), double indoor world champion (2022, 2024), triple European champion (2018, 2022, 2024), as well as European indoor champion in 2021.
