Moscow “Dynamo” beat “Uralochka-NTMK” from the Sverdlovsk region during the first round match of the Legends Cup among women’s volleyball teams.
The meeting took place in Yekaterinburg. The Moscow club won with a score of 3:2 (25:20, 25:19, 20:25, 21:25, 15:10). Both opening matches ended in favor of Dynamo, but the team achieved final success only in the tiebreaker.
“Dynamo” and “Uralochka” play in Group A with the teams “Dynamo-Metar” (Chelyabinsk) and “Dynamo-Ak Bars” (Kazan). In the next match, the Moscow club will play with the Kazan volleyball players, and Uralochka will play with the Chelyabinsk team. The first round of Group A will last until August 28. The second round matches will be held in Kazan.
The teams finishing top two in their group will play in the Final Four. The prize fund of the Legends Cup is 10 million rubles; the tournament is part of the Russian Cup and will end in October.
