Andres Carrasco’s team secured their third victory in this UPL competition
IN Cherkassy the final match of the fourth round took place UPL — LNZ beat at home Carpathians (2:1).
The score in the match was opened in the 34th minute by Lviv midfielder Ambrosiy Chachua. LNZ was not impressive at all in the first half of the match, but Andres Carrasca’s team came out in the second half completely different – charged and sportily angry.
The status quo was restored in the 61st minute by Gennady Pasich, assisted by Muharrem Jashari. And in the 77th minute, the Kosovar himself, who had scored against Rukh the previous round (3:1), scored.
As a result, LNZ won its third victory in four opening matches of the UPL. Karpaty suffered its second defeat in a row – a round earlier, Vladislav Lupashko’s team lost at home to Dynamo (1:3).
LNZ will play its next match on September 1 away against Dynamo, and Karpaty will host Vorskla on August 31. The match in Lviv will be held without fans – all due to the violation of the maximum permissible number of spectators at the previous home match of Karpaty against Dynamo.
