The return leg of the Champions League playoffs will start at 22:00
Head coach Salzburg Pepijn Leinders spoke about the return match with Dynamo in the qualifying playoffs Champions League 2024/25.
“The away win and the clean sheet were very important for us. However, I must stress that we are only halfway through the match and have not achieved anything yet. It will be important to analyse the first leg well and see what we need to improve.”
“We see the second game in Salzburg as a completely separate match and we are not going to simply try to defend the advantage we got in the first game. We have to play the same way as we did in the first game against Dynamo, with the same goal and with our style of play.”
Let us recall that the first, nominally “home” match in Lublin, was lost by Alexander Shovkovskiy’s team with a score of 0:2. The Austrians scored a goal in each half.
The return match between Salzburg and Dynamo will take place at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday, August 27. The kick-off is 22:00 Kyiv time. The match will be officiated by a team of referees from Turkey headed by Umut Mehler.
