The last tournament in the 34-year-old goalkeeper’s career was Euro 2024
Ex-goalkeeper Juventus Wojciech Szczesny announced the end of his playing career.
In August, the 34-year-old goalkeeper left the Turin club, agreeing to an early termination of his contract, which was valid until June 2025.
Szczesny has played for the Bianconeri since 2017. During this time, Wojciech played 252 official matches for the club, 200 of which were in Serie A. The goalkeeper kept 103 clean sheets.
The Polish goalkeeper also played for Arsenal, Brentford and Roma.
Szczesny played 84 matches for the Polish national team, taking part in two World Championships (2018 and 2022) and four European Championships (2012, 2016, 2020, 2024).
The last tournament in Szczesny’s career was Euro 2024, where he played in two group stage matches. The Polish national team itself failed to make it to the playoffs.
