Russian figure skater Andrei Mozalev group training Eteri Tutberidze admitted that he wanted to learn to play billiards.
Mozalev changed coaches in January 2024. He has been training with Kirill Davydenko since the age of 8.
— I want to learn to play billiards. In our group, I communicate most with Arseny Dimitriev; we often went to play with him in St. Petersburg. Now he has also moved to Moscow, we will play here, but less often, of course. I would like to take a few lessons with a coach in order to get some kind of base, and then build on it and develop independently.
“I play ‘Russian’ billiards, it’s a classic, it’s more interesting than ‘American’ billiards. Arseny and I are about the same level, but I probably win a little more often (laughs),” Mozalev told Sport24.
Mozalev is a bronze medalist of the Russian Championship (2022), junior world champion (2020).
