Giorgi will remain at his current club on loan before joining the Reds in the summer of 2025.
Liverpool officially completed the signing of the goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. As expected, the Georgian goalkeeper will remain in Valencia on the rights rent until the end of the season, and will join the Reds in the summer of 2025.
Earlier it was reported that the clubs had reached an agreement on the transfer of the Georgian goalkeeper for 35 million euros. According to Transfermarkt, the deal amounted to thirty million.
Mamardashvili, 23, played 37 matches for Valencia in La Liga last season (13 clean sheets), conceding a total of 41 goals. He also played 21 matches for the Georgian national team, with whom he sensationally made it to the Euro 2024 playoffs.
In the 2024/25 season that has just started, Mamardashvili played both matches for Valencia in La Liga (1:2 losses to Barcelona and 1:3 losses to Celta).
Liverpool, under the leadership of new head coach Arne Sloth, started the Premier League with two 2-0 victories – Ipswich and Brentford were defeated one after the other.
