Chelsea stepped up negotiations on the transfer of the striker Victor Osimhen’s Napoli.
The Blues are trying to reach an agreement with the player’s entourage on the terms of his personal contract. The Nigerian also has an offer from Al-Ahli. However, Victor will only consider this option if he fails to reach an agreement with the Londoners.
Chelsea have long been interested in the Nigerian striker. Thus, at the beginning of May it was reported that the Londoners could include Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk in the deal for Osimhen. At the end of July, Lukaku was already mentioned as a possible part of the potential transfer.
The Blues switched from the Napoli striker to Atletico Madrid counterpart Samu Omorodion in August, but the move fell through and Osimhen has resurfaced on Chelsea’s transfer radar.
Osimhen scored 17 goals and made four assists in 32 games for the Napoli team in the 2023/24 season. The forward has not yet appeared on the field this season.
Chelsea have earned three points in the opening two rounds of the Premier League.
