Stevenson: Lomachenko vs. Davis? I think Tank wins. But I wouldn’t be shocked if it didn’t.

According to Shakur, Vasily is “past his prime” but still remains at an elite level.

WBC Lightweight Belt Holder Shakur Stevenson shared his opinion on the possible fight with the participation of the IBF and IBO world champion Vasily Lomachenko and WBA champion Gervonta Davisif such takes place in the future.

“Lomachenko is still Lomachenko. He’s past his prime, but he’s still a high-level fighter. He’s still elite. When I watched him fight Kambosos, I knew this guy was still around.”

“Lomachenko vs. Davis? I think Tank is going to beat him. But I think he can give Tank some problems that we’ve never seen before. No, I wouldn’t be shocked if he beats Tank. But that’s why I’m disappointed with the way he moves, because with his skill level, you’re supposed to be like, ‘Anybody can get me, what’s the big deal?’ He doesn’t move like that.”

In early August, during a boxing evening between Terence Crawford and Ismail Madrimov, Lomachenko and Stevenson got into a verbal altercation. Vasiliy said that Shakur “wants to use his name for money,” and the American responded by calling Vasiliy a “pussy.”

Recall that Lomachenko broke off negotiations about a fight with Gervonta Davis after deciding to take a break from his career. Vasily, who defeated George Kambosos by technical knockout in May, intends to rest for the rest of the season and return to the ring in 2025.

Shakur Stevenson will fight Davis on November 23. The event will be held at one of the arenas in Las Vegas, USA. There is a possibility that the boxing evening will take place at the MGM Grand or T-Mobile Arena.
