This is the second gold of the women’s team at the Chess Olympiad in history.
Women’s national team of Ukraine became the winner Chess Olympiad 2022 in Indian Chennai.
In the final 11th round, our girls beat the Polish team – 3:1. In the overall standings, Ukraine scored 18 points and outstripped Georgia, which had the same number of points, in additional indicators.
Ukraine finished the tournament undefeated: seven wins and four draws.
Anna Muzychuk, Maria Muzychuk, Anna Ushenina, Yulia Osmak, Natalia Buksa performed in the Ukrainian national team.
This is the second gold of the Ukrainian women’s team at the Chess Olympiad in history. The Ukrainians won their first victory back in 2006, and then Anna Ushenina was also part of the team. In general, this is Ukraine’s fourth title at the Chess Olympiad: in 2004 and 2010, men won gold.
