Jesus Navas ends career with Spain national team

Defender Seville Jesus Navas ended his career in the national team Spain.

The 38-year-old defender’s last tournament in the national team jersey was Euro 2024, where he played three matches and helped his team win the trophy.

In the Euro 2024 semi-final against France (2:1), Jesus Navas became the oldest outfield player to play in a World Cup or European Championship semi-final. In that game, the defender entered the field at the age of 38 years and 231 days.

In addition to Euro 2024, together with the Spanish national team, Jesus Navas won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and also became the triumphant winner of Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland. In total, Jesus Navas played 56 matches for the national team and scored 5 goals.
