Minister of Sports of Russia Mikhail Degtiarev said the ministry supported the idea of merging five gymnastics federations into one.
The President of the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation (FSGR) Vasily Titov proposed on Friday to unite five All-Russian federations into the Russian Gymnastics Federation. In particular, we are talking about the FSGR, the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (VFKhG), the Federation of Acrobatic Sports of Russia, the Russian Trampoline Federation and the All-Russian Sports Aerobics Federation.
— For its part, the Russian Ministry of Sports supports the initiative of the federations to unite. During the transition period, the department will provide a regulatory framework for the unification process itself, regulate the issues of a unified calendar plan, the organization of competitions and the awarding of sports titles.
