The Dutch defender has been playing for Roma since 2017
Roma announced the termination of the contract with the defender by Rick Karsdorp by mutual consent of the parties.
Karsdorp has played for the Romans since 2017, having moved from Feyenoord. Over seven seasons, he played a total of 157 matches for Roma, scoring 2 goals.
Karsdorp has been left out of Roma’s squad for both games this season. This week, Wolves signed Al-Hilal and Saudi Arabian defender Saud Abdulhamid to fill his right-back position. Zeka Celik and Nikola Zalewski could also fill that position for Roma.
Roma, for whom Ukrainian Artem Dovbyk has been playing since the new season, had an unsuccessful start in Serie A. Daniele de Rossi’s team drew with Cagliari (0:0) and suffered a defeat from Empoli (1:2). Roma will play their next match on September 1 away against Juventus.
