American figure skater Alexa Knierim who is paired with Brandon Fraser, on the Twitter page reacted harshly to the words Kamila Valieva on the withdrawal of Russian athletes from international competitions.
Valieva said she regretted that the Russians did not participate in international competitions.
“It’s a shame that I still have to wait to receive my Olympic medal” wrote Knierim.
Knierim, along with Fraser, won silver medals at the Beijing Olympics in the team tournament, but did not receive an award due to a doping investigation into Valieva.
The day before, RUSADA told that the investigation into the case was in its final phase.
