Krivoy Rog club ends its participation in European competitions
Mentor Krivbassa Yuri Vernidub commented on the defeat to Betis (0:3) in the return match of the qualifying playoffs Conference Leagues.
“Congratulations to Betis on winning and reaching the group stage of the Conference League. A very strong and good team, with many fast players. Although, if we take the game as a whole, we were not inferior to our opponents in the first 40 minutes. We conceded the first goal, after which we fell apart a bit.”
“Then we conceded the second and third goals in a few minutes. It was a blow for us. We talked to the team in the locker room and made some substitutions. We played 0:0 in the second half and lost 0:3 in the first. That’s why I don’t want to comment much.”
“For our guys, this is a big school. They saw what level they need to strive for. This is great football. A pleasant atmosphere: a full stadium, many fans, passionately supporting the team and singing songs. It’s incredible. The Kryvyi Rih club failed to score even a consolation goal in both meetings with Betis. Kryvbas lost the two-match confrontation to the Spaniards with a total score of 0:5.
Thus, Yuriy Vernydub’s team said goodbye to European Cups in the 2024/25 season. Betis will find out their opponents in the group stage of the Conference League today, August 30.
