Russian athlete Fyodor Rudakov failed to finish the 5,000 metres at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
The Russian, competing in the T11 class, abandoned the race three laps before the finish. Gold went to Brazilian Julio Cesar Agripino dos Santos (14 minutes 48.85 seconds), who updated the world record previously held by his compatriot Yeltsin Jacques (14:53.97). The second was Japanese Kenya Karasawa (14:51.48), Jacques took bronze (14:52.61).
The Paralympic Games will take place in Paris from August 28 to September 8. A total of 88 Russian athletes will participate in neutral status.
