Athletistic/OI. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Compliance Committee has begun an audit of the activities of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), TASS reports.

If USADA is stripped of its compliance status, the 2028 and 2034 U.S. Olympics could be in jeopardy.

The reason for the inspection was the conflict between USADA and WADA, which arose after the publication of the doping case of 23 Chinese swimmers acquitted before the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. USADA accused WADA and the International Swimming Federation of covering up possible anti-doping rule violations by Chinese athletes. U.S. authorities supported USADA’s claims.

Recall that the 2028 Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles and the 2034 Winter Olympics are scheduled to be held in Salt Lake City.
