Kryvbas vs Shakhtar match in the fifth round of the UPL is scheduled for September 1
General manager Miner Sergey Palkin spoke about the team’s reaction to the missile attack on Krivoy Rog and the destruction of the hotel where the Donetsk club was traditionally based.
Palkin reported that the club had found a way out of the situation, but now Shakhtar’s management has decided to keep the team’s location a secret.
“I know the place, the name [нового] hotel. But I can’t even name it because I don’t want any manipulation. Before, more or less, the information was available. But after what happened, I don’t want this information to come out.
“It’s best for us to remain silent at this point. The Russians crossed all the red lines many, many years ago. Children, soldiers, journalists: they [россии] doesn’t matter”.
“We have a situation where players don’t think about football. They think about life. This is the biggest challenge for us now: to save the lives of players.”

On the night of August 27, Russians launched a missile attack on a hotel in the center of Kryvyi Rih. Shakhtar footballers planned to stay in this hotel before the match with Kryvbas.
The tragedy took the lives of four people. In Krivoy Rog, mourning was declared on August 28. On the day of mourning, the Russians again attacked the city with a missile: nine people were injured.
The match between Kryvbas and Shakhtar in the fifth round of the UPL is scheduled for September 1. The match in Kryvyi Rih will start at 18:00.
