Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Figure skating coach Alexander Zhulin shared his opinion on the deprivation of Lithuanian figure skaters Margarita Drobyazko and Povilas Vanagas of state awards for wanting to perform at Tatiana Navka’s show.
“That’s another nonsense that’s hard to comment on. I think they’ll survive it,” Zhulin said.
The reason for the Lithuanian government’s initiative to deprive Drobyazko and Vanagas of state awards was the skaters’ intention to participate in Tatyana Navka’s “Swan Lake” ice show. Skaters can be deprived of the orders of chivalry of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas, which were awarded to them in 2000. Drobyazko can also be deprived of Lithuanian citizenship.
