Russian athlete Georgy Margiev won bronze in the high jump at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

Russian Georgy Margiev took third place in the high jump (T47 class) at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

In his best attempt, Margiev cleared the bar at a height of 2.00 meters. The first place was taken by American Roderick Townsend (2.12). The second was the representative of India Kumar Nishad (2.04).

In the shot put (F20) competition, Svetlana Mironova stopped one step from the podium, showing a result of 13.68 meters. British Sabrina Fortune won gold with a world record (15.12). Another representative of Russia, Alexandra Zaitseva, became eighth (13.22).

Elena Tretyakova took fourth place in the long jump (T37). The Russian achieved a result of 4.37 meters in her best attempt. China’s Wen Xiaoyan (5.44) won gold.
