The Ukrainian U-18/19 team arrived in Switzerland for training camp and friendly matches

Ukraine U-18/19 National Team (players 2006 year of birth) arrived in Switzerland for conducting training camps and test matches.

Goalkeepers: Vyacheslav Surkis (Dynamo), Markiyan Backus (Rukh).

Defenders: Alexander Gavrilenko (Slask, Poland), Vladislav Zakharchenko, Maxim Korobov, Denis Dyky (all – Dynamo), Daniel Vernattus, Egor Abramov (both – Metalist), Vladislav Shershen (Kolos), Daniil Garazha (Alexandria).

Midfielders: Maksym Len (Fortuna, Germany), Fedor Babak (Paderborn, Germany), Kirill Osipenko, Daniil Ishchenko (both Dynamo), Artem Gusol (Kolos), Viktor Tsukanov, Vasily Bundash (both Shakhtar), Vladislav Kalin (Chernomorets), Gennady Sinchuk (Metalist).

Forwards: Artem Stepanov (Bayer, Germany), Christian Shevchenko (Watford), Ruslan Vydysh (Gent, Belgium), Vitaliy Lobko (Dynamo).

Reserve: Nazar Makarenko (Alexandria), Daniil Denisenko (Kolos), David Bely, Matvey Ponomarenko (both Dynamo), Kirill Digtyar, Daniil Kaidalov (both Metalist).

Dmitry Mikhailenko’s team will be based in the Zurich suburb of Regensdorf, and will play friendly matches on September 6 and 9 against local peers.

The Ukrainian youth team is preparing for the Euro 2025 (U-19) qualification. According to the results of the draw for the first stage of the competition, Ukraine ended up in Group 1 together with the Netherlands, Slovenia and Kazakhstan. The mini-tournament will be held in the Netherlands, and the matches will take place on November 13, 16 and 19.

Let us recall that the Ukrainian U-19 team, led by Dmytro Mykhailenko, took part in the 2024 European Youth Championship in July, where they reached the semi-finals.
