Tarasova said that such a dispute should not be resolved in court.
Earlier it became known that the Nikulinsky Court of Moscow ruled to recover 1.83 million rubles from Parsegova’s parents for violation of the terms of the contract with the academy.
Tarasova spoke about Plushenko’s Angels trial with mother of 12-year-old figure skater
The reason for the dispute was the skater’s departure from the academy. According to two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko, Parsegova’s parents did not cover the expenses incurred.
“Of course, I agree with Tatyana Anatolyevna Tarasova’s words that it is better to resolve such conflicts without resorting to court. If an athlete and her mother came to me and said that they wanted to change coaches because they were not satisfied with the coach or the training conditions, we would find common ground. If they want to train with another coach, we have no problems. Just do everything in a civilized and humane way!
Unfortunately, in figure skating there is no transfer system similar to the one in team sports. There, when moving from one club to another, it is necessary to compensate the costs of training a football or hockey player. We had a contract with Parsegova’s mother, who represented the interests of the minor figure skater, and it had to be respected,” Plushenko quotes RIA Novosti.
