Russian swimmer Denis Tarasov won a silver medal in the 50m freestyle at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris.
In the final race, Tarasov, competing in the S9 class, finished with a time of 25.15 seconds. Italy’s Simone Barlaam won gold with a world record of 23.90. Norway’s Fredrik Solberg came third with 25.33.
Another Russian, Bogdan Mozgovoy (25.92), finished in seventh place.
Earlier, Russian Alexey Ganyuk took fifth place in the 400-meter freestyle.
