TI starts Wednesday, September 4th
On Wednesday, September 4, the The International 2024. Sport Arena tells you everything you need to know about the tournament Dota 2.

Six teams received direct invites to the tournament: Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Gaimin Gladiators and BB Team.
Ten more TI13 participants were determined following the qualifications in six regions. Team Zero (China), G2 x iG (China), nouns (North America), Talon Esports (Southeast Asia), Aurora (Southeast Asia), HEROIC (South America), beastcoast (South America), Cloud9 (Western Europe), Tundra Esports (Western Europe), and 1w Team (Eastern Europe) qualified.
Let us recall that the main and youth rosters of Natus Vincere did not pass the closed qualifiers in the Eastern and Western European regions, respectively.
Four players with Ukrainian citizenship will play at TI 2024: Artem “lorenof” Melnik (Aurora), Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov, Ilya “Yatoro” Mularchuk (both Team Spirit) and Vladimir “No[o]ne-» Minenko (Cloud9).
Interestingly, nouns player Tal “Fly” Aizik will be playing in his 11th straight The International. However, none of the players participating in TI 2024 played in the first two editions of the tournament in 2011 and 2012.
Format, schedule, broadcast and prize fund
16 teams were divided into four groups:
- Group A: 1w Team, Gaimin Gladiators, HEROIC, Xtreme Gaming
- Group B: Cloud9, G2 x iG, Talon Esports, Tundra Esports
- Group C: BB Team, nouns, Team Falcons, Team Zero
- Group D: Aurora, beastcoast, Team Liquid, Team Spirit
The International 2024 group stage will be held on September 4-5. This stage will start with three matches: Xtreme Gaming — HEROIC, Gaimin Gladiators — 1w Team, Tundra Esports — Talon Esports. The game day will start at 11:00 Kyiv time.
All group stage matches will be played in a bo2 format. The full schedule and results of The International 2024 can be found at official Dota 2 website.
Following the results of the group round, no team will leave The International, and teams will play in the seeding stage according to their places. Following the results of the next stage (September 6-7), eight teams will be determined that will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, and eight participants in the lower bracket.
The playoff matches are scheduled for September 8-10 and 13-15. The grand final will be held in the bo5 format at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. The prize fund for the tournament is more than $2.3 million.

The current TI winner is Team Spirit, who beat Gaimin Gladiators (3:0) in the grand final.
