Russian Vdovin becomes double Paralympic champion in the 400 meters

Russian track and field athlete Andrei Vdovin finished first in the 400m final (T37 class) at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

Vdovin showed a result of 50.27 seconds. The second was the Brazilian Bartolomeu Da Silva Chavez (50.39), the third was the Tunisian Amen Allah Tissaoui (50.50). Another representative of Russia, Anton Fekotistov, finished eighth (52.54).

Vdovin, 30, won his second medal at the Paris Games. Earlier, he finished third in the 100 meters. At the Tokyo Games, he also won gold in the 400 meters, setting a world record of 49.34.

The Paralympic Games in the French capital will take place from August 28 to September 8. Russian athletes will participate in the competitions in neutral status.
