Previously, the skater indicated that she would need surgery for an old hip injury. The athlete noted that the procedure could take place as early as Wednesday, August 10.
“The operation has been postponed until the end of August,” Kostornaya said.
Last season, 18-year-old Kostornaya trained with Eteri Tutberidze. During the offseason, she changed her group – now the skater is under the leadership of Elena Buyanova.
