Athletistic / Triathlon. On September 7, the elections of the President of the Russian Triathlon Federation took place in Kronstadt (Leningrad Region). Ksenia Shoigu was re-elected for a new term.
According to the press service of the Russian Triathlon Federation, the delegates to the reporting and election conference voted unanimously for the candidacy of Ksenia Shoigu.
“I will continue to do everything possible for triathlon to develop in Russia. The most important goals that I have set for myself are the trip of Russian triathletes to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the construction of a triathlon center, and the increase in the coaching staff, the number of children involved in our sport, I would like to thank everyone and say that we will not stop with what we have now: we will equip the current departments, open new ones, so a large amount of money will be spent on material and technical equipment,” she said after the election results were announced.
Ksenia Shoigu is the daughter of former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. She headed the Russian Triathlon Federation in 2020. Her new term expires at the end of August 2028.
