Swimmer Komarov to be Ukraine’s flag bearer at 2024 Paralympic Games closing ceremony

The official closing of the Games will begin at 21:00

Swimmer Alexander Komarov will flag bearer of the Ukrainian national team at the closing ceremony Paralympic Games 2024 in Paris.

The official ceremony on Sunday is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. The gala show will last approximately three hours.

Komarov won three medals at the Paris Games. The Ukrainian, with a Paralympic record in the S5 class, won gold in the 100-meter freestyle. Oleksandr also won bronze in the 200-meter freestyle and another bronze medal as part of the Ukrainian team in the 4×50-meter medley relay.

The 2024 Paralympics are taking place in Paris from August 28 to September 8. The Ukrainian team is represented at the Games by 140 athletes. Ukrainians will compete in 17 of the 22 Paralympic sports – this is a record in the history of our country.
