Russian rugby player Oksana Korobchuk has been suspended for two years for an anti-doping rule violation, according to the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) website.
Meldonium was found in the sample of a 38-year-old athlete. The suspension of Korobchuk, who won European Championship gold in 2016, will expire on October 21, 2022.
World junior road cycling champion Aigul Gareeva received an 18-month ban for violating athletes’ availability for testing. The 20-year-old cyclist has been suspended until March 16, 2023.
Greco-Roman wrestler Valery Gusarov was disqualified for four years from August 1, Chinggis Rinchino (archery) – for three months from August 5 for carboxy-tetrahydrocannabinol, Margarita Aitmurzaeva (bodybuilding) – during six years – until December 5, 2026 – for canrenone and meldonium.
