Ukrainian track and field athlete Irina Klimets won a gold medal at the Continental Tour competition World Athletics in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
For a long time, the Ukrainian was behind Veronika Kanyukhova from Slovakia in the fight for leadership, but in the end, she managed to throw the projectile 67.57 meters in her fourth attempt, securing victory.
For Irina, this is already her second victory and third medal in 2024. In May, she won bronze at a tournament in Jõhvi, Estonia, and in July, she won the competition in Poznan, Poland.
This year, Krimets also took part in the Olympic Games, the third in her career. In Paris 2024, the Ukrainian showed a result of 66.95 meters and failed to reach the final.
