‘I feel comfortable boxing in front of a new crowd’: Usyk on debut fight in Saudi Arabia

The Ukrainian has no doubts about his readiness before the second battle with the British.

WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has shared his expectations for a rematch with Anthony Joshua.

According to the Ukrainian boxer, he has no discomfort because of the rematch with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.

“I’m comfortable boxing in front of new people and in new places. I go out and do my job. I work a lot in the gym and I box in new places for the first time many times. For me , no It doesn’t matter where I fight, whether it’s the first or second fight in a certain place. I like boxing in new places.”

Usyk announced his willingness to box in the heavyweight division.

“The fight with Anthony Joshua showed that I can box at heavyweight and win. I will continue in the same spirit. I will box, win again and show the quality of boxing,” Usyk said in an interview with Parimatch.

It will be remembered that the rematch between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) at the Super Dome arena.

In the first match, which took place in September 2021, the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by unanimous decision, winning the championship belt.
