Women’s national beach soccer team of Ukraine suffered a second defeat in Group A Euroleague Superfinal-2024. The blue-yellows lost their chances to fight for medals early, losing to the tournament host by a minimal score, Italian national team — 0:1.
In the first period, Yuri Klimenko’s team attacked more sharply, missed several good chances, and Italy realized almost its only moment. The second 12 minutes also passed with the advantage of the Ukrainians, but again they failed to score. As a result, the hosts managed to dry up the game and suffer a minimal victory.
Let us recall that on September 10, Ukraine suffered a dramatic loss to Portugal in the first round (3:4). Thus, after two defeats, the blue-yellows lost their chances for medals and will fight for 5th-8th places in the 2024 Euroleague Super Final.
In the final round of Group A, Klimenko’s team will play against the Czech Republic on September 13.
