In September, Koshevatsky defended the colors of the Ukrainian national team at the U-23 3×3 Basketball World Championship
Cherkasy Monkeys signed the ex-defender Kyiv-Basket Lev Koshevatsky.
This is already the third Super League club in the player’s career – in addition to Kyiv-Basket, he also previously defended the colors of Budivelnyk.
In the 2023/24 season, playing for Kyiv Basket, Koshevatsky averaged 10 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.6 steals in 26.5 minutes on average on the court.
Koshevatsky will join the Cherkasy club upon his return from Mongolia. There he defended the colors of the Ukrainian 3×3 team at the U-23 World Championship, where our national team failed to reach the playoffs.
In August, the Cherkasskie Monkeys were headed by Georgy Stupenchuk, who replaced Artem Slipenchuk as head coach.
Cherkasy Monkeys took fourth place in the regular season of the 2023/24 Super League. The team lost to Dnipro in the playoff semifinals, and then lost to Kyiv-Basket in the bronze medal matches.
