Tomorrow Marta will play a quarter-final match of the tournament in Seoul
Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk commented on her performance at the tournament WTA 500 V Seoul.
“Both my matches at this tournament, in my opinion, were good for me. I like the way my game is shaping up. I have two more big tournaments ahead of me, so this week is a good opportunity to get into shape. I’m looking forward to the next match.”
“I was lucky on Monday that my match was already too late. And today the conditions were not as difficult as in previous days. So they were quite difficult, but it was not that bad. You know, I prepared for these conditions, I drank more water the day before and just mentally prepared myself.”
“I rely on my physical fitness, I know that I can outrun my opponents. I know that the conditions there are just as difficult for them as for me, maybe even worse. I just feel more confident in these conditions than perhaps any of the other players.”
At the tournament in Seoul, Marta Kostyuk defeated Arantxa Rus (6:3, 6:1) and Harry Watson (6:2, 6:2) one after another.
In the quarterfinals of the tournament in Seoul, Kostyuk will face “neutral” Diana Schneider. The meeting will take place on Friday, September 20, starting no earlier than 12:30 Kyiv time.
