Three sets of medals were contested on the first day of the European Swimming Championships in Rome

Italian Alberto Razzetti won the 400m medley at the European Championships in Rome.

He showed a time of 4 minutes 10.60 seconds. Second was David Verrasto from Hungary, third place went to Italian Pier Andrea Matteazzi.

The Dutch team won the women’s 4x200m freestyle relay. His time is 7 minutes 54.07 seconds. Silver – for the UK, bronze – for the Hungarians.
