Figure skater Khudayberdieva: “In my ideal world, food and drinks within the established limit are included in the price of a ticket to shows”

Russian ice dancing champion Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva playing with Yegor Bazin, wrote in his column on that solving the nutrition problem could motivate fans to attend figure skating competitions.

On September 14-15, the Russian national team held skating tests in St. Petersburg.

— Any organized tournament has its own problems and flaws, and the test skates were no exception. For example, many spectators – including my father, who was in the stands – said that the stewards did not allow people to enter the Ice Palace if people were going out. Of course, it is very difficult to sit for two days for six hours. I also really wanted to go to a nearby cafe for a coffee and a snack, or just get some fresh air, but the stewards, according to the instructions, allowed me to go through the turnstiles only once.

I have seen many attacks on the FFKKR, but let’s not blame them for all the sins. Because like at any hockey or football game, in the lobby you will find nothing but hot dogs and instant espresso machines at exorbitant prices.

There are a lot of children in figure skating. It might be a good idea to add chicken soups or ready meals to the arena. In my ideal world, a limited amount of food and drinks is included in the price of a show ticket. So, you see, people will be more willing to go figure skating. But I think this is a completely impossible charity, ”Khudaiberdieva wrote.
