Ukrainian chess players won the Olympiad for the second time in history
Ukrainian chess player Anna Muzychuk commented on the victory Ukraine on the Chess Olympiad 2022 in Indian Chennai.
“Ukraine’s women’s team won gold at the World Chess Olympiad. We thank everyone who cheered for us, supported and believed in the team. We dedicate this victory to the Ukrainian people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Muzychuk wrote.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the victory of the Ukrainian women’s team at the 2022 Chess Olympiad.
The Ukrainian team became the winner of the 2022 Chess Olympiad, having beaten the Polish team in the final 11th round – 3:1. In the overall standings, Ukraine scored 18 points and outstripped Georgia in additional indicators.
This is the second gold of the Ukrainian women’s team at the Chess Olympiad in history.
