Kostyleva won the All-Russian competition “In memory of the Olympic champion S. Grinkov” with a score of 227.85 points. Valeria Lukashova took second place (203.28), third Lidiya Pleskacheva (202.20). In March of this year, Kostyleva joined the Evgeni Plushenko Academy.
— I really like everything in the academy. Changes have occurred in everything, the approach to training has changed. Evgeniy Viktorovich and I have very good contacts. I feel like I have been with him all my life. He settles me down and supports me very well. I have a good understanding with him.
“I am now in the same locker room as Alexandra Trusova. She tells a lot of things. I admire her, I take her as an example,” Kostyleva told .
Kostyleva, 12, is the winner of the Russian figure skating championship among junior athletes.
