Sokol lost to Odessa Storm in the quarterfinals of the Ukrainian Hockey Cup

The Odessa team scored three goals in the first period, after which they maintained their advantage

Falcon lost to Odessa to the storm in the quarterfinals Ukrainian Cup 2024 in hockey – 1:4.

The Kiev team started the match more actively, but conceded three times in the first period. Sergei Stetsyura opened the scoring with a successful finish, followed by Dmitry Kobylnik and Nikita Sidorenko.

In the second period, Sokol converted the power play and Vladimir Cherdak scored. However, Storm soon found themselves in the majority and regained their three-goal advantage. Then Odessa residents kept the winning score.

Storm, whose core was formed on the basis of last year’s squad from Kherson Dnepr, became the second semi-finalist of the 2024 Ukrainian Cup. The current trophy holder Kremenchuk automatically received a place in the semi-finals. On September 27, Dnepr – Berserki and Kyiv Capitals – Trizub will play in the other two quarterfinal matches.
