Eddie Hints at Rematch
Promoter of ex-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) Eddie Hearn spoke about the immediate plans of his ward and hinted at a possible rematch with the IBF world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).
“Our next match is in Riyadh Season. One option is to meet with DuBois again. Our contract is with him. His Excellency [Турки Аль аш-Шейх] will deal with Frank [Уорреном] and Daniel [Дюбуа] and organizes this fight. Now everything must be agreed with them.”
“We have already agreed on everything and we know that we have the opportunity to play a rematch with Dubois. In our meeting with His Excellency, we learned that he wants to see this rematch. Daniel also wants to fight Joshua because it is the biggest fight for him. They’ll be excited about this opportunity.”
“The only question that needs to be resolved on our part is when we want to return to the ring. Joshua had a rough night so he won’t be fighting for 10-12 weeks. He needs rest and time to recover.”
