Medalist at the World High Jump Championships Mikhail Akimenko disqualified due to violation of anti-doping rules, according to the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) website.
The disqualification period for Akimenko, 28, is one year – from April 25, 2024 to April 24, 2025. All results of athletes obtained since October 29, 2023 are canceled.
It is reported that the athlete violated the procedure for providing information about his whereabouts during doping controls.
Akimenko won a silver medal at the World Championships in Doha in 2019.
