This is the third foreign player in the Rivne team
BC Rivne signed an American Legionnaire Marquela Beasley.
The 30-year-old forward (196 cm, 95 kg) is a 2019 graduate of Fort Lewis College. During his professional career, he managed to lose in the championships of Australia, Switzerland, Germany and Indonesia.
The forward spent the 2022/23 season in Australia for the Sutherland Sharks team and became the champion of his NBL1 East division. Marquel averaged 15 points and 7.2 rebounds.
Last season, Beasley played in the Swiss Second Division for the Red Devils Morges St-Prex, and helped his team reach the semi-finals of the NLB Championship playoffs. Beasley averaged 22.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals.
Markuel is the third foreign player in Rivne. The club previously signed Rod Brown and Isaiah, and also strengthened with former Prometheus captain Dmitry Golovchik.
Let us remind you that BC Rivne won silver awards in the 2023/24 Super League. In the final confrontation, the Rivne team lost to the Dnieper.
Rivne will open the 2024/25 season with a match against Prykarpattya-Hoverla on October 3.
